Monthly Schedule of Fitness Classes

We provide a number of different classes such as Overall Strength Class, Butt/Gut Class. Cardio and Tone Class, Yoga Class, and Senior Silver Sneakers Class.

Please Note

All classes are 1 hour except: Core & Legs.

A class designed to tone the entire body - set to music. Your heart rate will rise as you work the large muscle groups. All classes include abdominals and use specific equipment such as fit-balls, weights, and body bars.

Hello, my name is Lois Pepino and I have been a Pilates Instructor for 12 years in Sedona, Arizona. My certification is with Power Pilates of New York. I love teaching…..come take a class and introduce yourself.

The results you will get from participating in this Pilates Class will be stronger core, a later stomach, better posture, lower back pain reduced, more stamina , a toned body, and better flexibility.

Silver Sneakers At The Senior Center Tebow Room .... 45 min. Long
TRI FIT Class brings exciting new concepts from the fitness industry that focus on strengthening, development of core or mid-section strength, balance, coordination and joint flexibility. T ri Fit combines exercise philosophies from Pilates, Yoga, Weight Training and Calisthenics. Students uSe free weights, ba lis and Thera-Bands which are provided during the class. Classes are 45 minutes of standing a nd seated aerobics, strength training and stretching done to lively music with a professiona I instructor trained in exercise sciences. Classes are supervised by Deb Holmes, owner/fitness professional at Med X of Estes.

 

Yoga With Janet

This class is Iyengar Style Hatha Yoga. B.K.S Iyengar developed yoga from a very therapeutic perspective. He designed the use of props (using a wall, blankets, straps, blocks, chairs, etc.) thereby allowing yoga to be accessible to all body types. With the use of props, a pose can be performed almost perfectly and be held for longer time frames, allowing the student more therapeutic value, and for varying conditions. The focus is on precision and alignment. Iyengar has stated that "the health of the spine is the key to longevity."

This class is a mixed-level class with much demonstration, exploration, and attention to details. All movements of standing, sitting, forward bending, back bending, and twists are included and modified where needed. Beginners are always welcomed, regardless of difficulty level of the class at the time. Restorative (restful, restoring quiet, and peace) poses are also taught. The meditative quality is "meditation through movement." With awareness on breathing and calmness, balance is acquired.

Core and Legs incorporates dynamic moves to enhance core and leg strength. This class involves exercises for multiple muscle groups and will train your core in a more functional fashion. By involving bigger muscles groups, you'll burn more calories throughout this workout, which is an advantage if you are trying to trim-up your mid-section. This class offers a variety of moves, from beginner to advanced, using a variety of tools to build stronger and more toned leg and core muscles.
